South African Marriage Cerificate

Department Of Home Affairs Republic Of South Africa

Persons who were married in South Africa and whose marriages were registered in South Africa may apply for their marriage certificates.

Checklist of Documents to be Submitted:

Application has to be filed IN PERSON with the followings BY APPOINTMENT:

  • Completed form DHA-130 in BLACK pen and in BLOCK letters.

  • South African valid passports of applicant and spouse (original and copy).

  • South African IDs of applicant and spouse, if available (original and/or copy).

  • South African marriage certificate (copy – if available).

  • Non-refundable application fee of HKD49.00 in CASH.

Processing Time:

Civic application takes 6-9 months (-/+) for processing by Department of Home Affairs in South Africa
