Mr Madoda Ntshinga is a career Diplomat who joined the Department of International Relations and Cooperation in May 1995. Prior to that Mr Ntshinga joined the Civil Service in South Africa on 14 February 1980. He served in various departments including Local government, Transport, Health, Manpower (Labour), Home Affairs (then Interior Affairs) and Commerce ( i.e. Trade and Industry). He has a record service of 40 years in the civil service.
In the Department of International Relations and Cooperation Mr Ntshinga rose through the ranks of Foreign Service Officer to Assistant Director: Foreign Service, Deputy Director: Foreign Service and Acting Director in the Office of the Minister. Mr Ntshinga served as a Diplomat at High Commission in Tanzania as Third Secretary and First Secretary: Political respectively, India as First Secretary: Political, New Zealand as Counsellor: Political and Deputy Head of Mission and now in Hong Kong SAR as a Consul General.
